About the Artist

Clutching my first camera, I followed my father’s footsteps, chronicling our family life in Syracuse, New York — he with his 8mm movie camera, me with my Kodak Instamatic. I would drop in my cartridge of film and capture the simple images of life as a child. As a young woman, I moved into New York City and, carrying two 35mm cameras — one black and white, one color — my photography became architectural as I roamed the streets looking for the life and history of each building I walked by.

Through my love for world travel, my work has become more alive and three-dimensional as I look for the texture, the movement, and the color of the scenery, offering you a chance to be where I am standing, see what I am seeing — evoking your own memories.  I research and read about the   history of a place when I travel, and I love the sense of age — what it must have felt like when it thrived. That is what goes through my mind when I put eye to view finder.

It is now with great hope that I share with you the wonderful things I get to see and capture forever in my mind’s eye and through the lens of my camera.
